MAEF Seeks Apprenticeship
Program Manager
MAEF is seeking an experienced and highly organized Apprenticeship Program Manager to lead MAEF’s role in a collaborative, statewide agricultural apprenticeship initiative. The position will provide grant oversight, fiscal coordination, partner management, compliance monitoring, and program reporting while supporting the development of a sustainable apprenticeship model that can be replicated across Maryland.
The Apprenticeship Program Manager will serve as MAEF’s primary point of contact for the apprenticeship grant and will work closely with the Maryland Department of Labor, TCCSMD/SMADC, employers, workforce development partners, schools, and other consortium members to ensure that program goals, participant outcomes, fiscal requirements, and reporting obligations are met.

MAEF Seeks Strategic
Planning Consultant
The Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation (MAEF) is seeking an experienced strategic planning consultant or firm to facilitate a collaborative process that will establish our strategic direction and develop an actionable five-year strategic plan.
We are looking for a partner who can help us:
• Refine MAEF’s mission and vision for the evolving agriculture, education, and workforce landscape
• Identify strategic priorities, goals, and strategies to increase organizational and program impact
• Strengthen engagement among staff, board members, donors, and stakeholders
• Expand collaboration and identify new partnership opportunities across Maryland’s agricultural community
• Assess and strengthen organizational management, governance, and board engagement
• Develop an ongoing process for monitoring progress and adapting to changing conditions
Proposals should address: consultant/firm qualifications and relevant experience; methodology and approach to engagement, governance, needs assessment, and strategic planning; work plan and timeline; and detailed budget and deliverables.
Experience working with agricultural and/or educational organizations is preferred. Proposals are welcome from both firms and individuals.

What do we do?
Dedicated to increasing agricultural literacy and agricultural education, MAEF is a nonprofit organization with programs serving pre-kindergarten through post-secondary audiences. MAEF signature programs include professional development courses for teachers; mobile science labs; mobile agricultural showcases and Maryland FFA. Funded by the Maryland “ag tag” license plate revenues, gifts, grants and program fees, MAEF promotes the importance of agriculture in everyone’s daily lives.
Maryland Agriculture License Plate
Revenues generated by the sale of the Ag Tag help underwrite the expense of nearly all of the Foundation’s programs and educational outreach activities. Purchase Ag Tags from the Motor Vehicle Administration for $20.
Eligible vehicles are cars, trucks up to 26,000 GVW, landscape & equipment trailers, RVs, farm trucks, handicap plates, and boat trailers.
