LET’S GRO & Pollinate

Professional Development – July 29th, 2024

Join MAEF and Anne Arundel County Farm Bureau at this Summer workshop focusing on incorporating agriculture into your work with youth. Did you know 1/3 of the total human diet is derived directly from insect pollinated plants? Come learn how to incorporate pollinators and their relationship to agriculture (and our food!) in your work! Get a behind the scenes tour of Homestead Garden, hear from engaging guest speakers, and leave with valuable resources to use with your students!

We are hiring

Mobile Science Lab Teachers!

We are hiring part-time teachers across the state for our Mobile Science Lab program, which brings hands-on science experiments related to agriculture to elementary students across Maryland. Candidates from across the state  are encouraged to apply. Contact Tonya Wible at twible@maefonline.com for more information. Applications are now being accepted for the 24/25 school year.

What do we do?

Dedicated to increasing agricultural literacy and agricultural education, MAEF is a nonprofit organization with programs serving pre-kindergarten through post-secondary audiences. MAEF signature programs include professional development courses for teachers; mobile science labs; mobile agricultural showcases and Maryland FFA. Funded by the Maryland “ag tag” license plate revenues, gifts, grants and program fees, MAEF promotes the importance of agriculture in everyone’s daily lives.
