Compile a list of university and college Agricultural Education department chairs (especially surrounding states)

Provide lists of university and college Agricultural Education department chairs to Maryland Local Directors of CTE

Encourage Maryland Local Directors of CTE to contact the Maryland Agriculture Education Foundation (MAEF) with teacher vacancy needs

Collect and distribute lists and resumes of recent graduates (from surrounding universities) available for placement

Provide teachers and instructors with support from MAEF staff as appropriate (agriculture/environmental/natural resources/family & consumer sciences/social studies, etc.)

Conduct meetings with new teachers and provide resource packets and do follow-up

Introduce new agricultural teachers to mentors and monitor progress

Encourage new career teachers to attend regional workshops
