Contact local school systems and college administrators regarding Agricultural Education program planning, development, and maintenance
- Determine current status of Agricultural Education programs
- Determine if there is interest in establishing Ag programs or for using Ag as a tool for teaching other areas of study
- Conduct visits to Agricultural Education programs for local, state, and national educators as well as other interested parties
Provide local school systems and community colleges with Agricultural Education information, i.e., national content standards, course guidelines, curriculum (including CAERT and CASE), resources, and professional organizations, etc.
- Promote Curriculum for Agricltural Science Education (CASE) in the development of new and existing agricultural programs in Maryland
- Crosswalk Center for Agricultural Eduvironmental Research Technology (CAERT) Lesson Libraries to Maryland Core Learning Goals and National Content Standards and promote the use of these resources statewide
Promote the use of National Quality Program Standards (NQPS) as guidelines for local Agricultural Education programs
Promote, coordinate, and develop a Maryalnd Council for Agricultural Education using the National Team Ag Ed concept
Promote the development of agricultural Program Advisory Committees (PAC) and FFA Alumni affiliates
Promote development of veterinary science, golf course management, and other priority areas identified on a regional and/or statewide basis
Introduce and promote articulation of high school Agricultural Education programs with appropriate post-secondary institutions
Seek, disseminate, and promote use of grants for program improvement
Promote education program instruction to non-traditional agricultural students and organizations
